5 LinkedIn Search Engine Optimization Tips

This is a simple method to rank on the first page of search results in the “people search” section on LinkedIn.  Although this doesn’t work every time, it works most of the time and I’ve seen it well over 100 times happen for people in real time.  There are a few places you need to put your keywords when you use this method:

1.  Headline

Your headline is the first thing people see when they go to your LinkedIn profile, therefore it’s the very important or the most relevant part. If your headline doesn’t have your chosen keywords in it, then you are missing the biggest section of the equation.

2.  Current Work Experience

Your current work experience is the second most relevant factor because it is what you are currently doing in business. It shows people you are still active in the field and they can contact you.

3.  Past Work Experience

You start to notice that this works in the top to bottom layout within your profile.  Start from the top, and working your way, all the way through your profile to the bottom.

4.  Summary

Your summary is the larger part of your profile, or the body of your content.  Make sure it looks clean and you don’t just spam and add a line of keywords next to each other or it won’t represent your personal brand well.

5.  Specialties

This is the section you want to add a number of different relevant keywords to showcase your talents in short phrases.

Linkedin is a great tool for marketing purposes to help promote your business and give it greater exposure. By having more exposure your business will become well known and more customers will buy your products or make use of your services. By using Linkedin for business marketing you can quickly get some contacts and build connections with people. When you have build a relationship with them they are more likely to buy from you.   Linkedin is a great marketing tool where people are looking for your services and the best way to build connections and build credability is click on your groups section and choose a relevant group for your services. Click in the members section then go to a page where you’re not already connected to anyone. You may need to click on the 10th page on average.

When you see someone who isn’t already connected to you click invite to connect and choose the option where they’re a member of your group. Send them a personal message rather than a linkedin default message to minimize spamming.

Repeat with the other members of your groups and this will build your connections pretty quickly.

• A boring ad doesn’t get clicked, simply because it’s not interesting, so if no one clicks on it, they won’t see your message. If Facebook sees your ad isn’t getting clicks, then it’s not going to show it anymore, or they’re going to charge you out the “you know what” for it. Wouldn’t you? If you were only charging people every time their ad got clicked, you would want awesome ads getting clicked all the time.
• Not to be tempted to use your company logo as your image. This is the worst sin for creating boring ads and if you’re a consumer, do you care about someone’s logo? No! You don’t. Unfortunately, a logo can’t accomplish the task. You have to grab attention with your advert’s image…that’s the best part about Facebook Ads!

Don’t use you ad text to describe features or tell people what you company does.

3. As we probably know, people are selfish by nature. What I mean is, we all want our problems solved. We don’t care that you using double plated glass to create our back-door, we care that our family room stays quiet because of it. Ask yourself, “So What?” when you’re writing your ad copy

4. Most people think that by creating 1 or 2 ads and assume they’re the best ads ever created in the history of facebook advertising. First of all, facebook makes it way too easy to duplicate ads with their “create a similar ad” feature that you literally have no excuse for running with only a handful of ads. Create multiple ads, test them against each other, and select the winner. This way, you’re guaranteeing a better ROI because your CTR will increase and your cost will decrease.
